Alas, hidden from view

Looks like a pretty nice walk today from space, but too many trees and cottages to see any pump 123 years later.

Exclusive pump

Crescent Walk is a street in the peninsula regulated by the private Macatawa Park Cottagers Association. According to the association:

Macatawa Park itself was established in 1881 after a group of men acquired & platted land near the Holland harbor for a public park and pleasure resort; the Macatawa Park Association was formed later that year.

It sounds like the ~200 cottages in the park stay in families for generations, and when they occasionally go on sale, they get their own article in the style section. An oral history looks long but interesting.
