Looks like a "shell game" to me
Why is the lady holding that light so high and pretty much blinding that poor egg lady?
Does she work for John? Is that his wife or another worker? Could it be her sister assisting?
Mrs. Younkers does have a slimmer resemblance to the infamous Egg Lady played by Edith Massey in the film Pink Flamingos by John Waters.
