Street Lights Survive

The Chatham Academy building has a different use now, and the original attractive street light standards are present today throughout the historic district of Savannah. Original carbon arc fixtures were likely changed over the years to incandescent, mercury vapour, sodium vapour and finally LED. Savannah also had 12 moonlight towers, similar to those in Detroit.

Now & then

A child is always a child,

It seems whenever a small tyke of that age comes across a set of steps the only logical thing to do is jump up and walk down them.

It's an experience, and (to them) kind of fun. Because everything around them is new and exciting (to them).

A new image.

Being from Savannah, I have collected every image I have been able to find from this collection by the Detroit Publishing Co. This is a new one on me. Excellent!
