Six months of Internet detective work eventually helped unveil the black and white curtain from this New York street scene that had not been seen in color since December 1902. I can't guarantee that all the magazine covers are correctly colored, since a big chunk of them are missing, but a lot of what you see in this photo is pretty close to its original colors.
