Actually, Lower Echo Lake, a body of water about seven miles south of Lake Tahoe as the crow flies. We didn't actually make use of the lake on our 1966 vacation, just popped in for a look (and for me to take this Kodachrome slide) as we headed home down US 50 after a visit to Virginia City.
