It's a multiuse building

This impressive building was designed by James Gamble Rogers, best known for his academic commissions at Yale University, Columbia University, and Northwestern University. And if you click on Google Earth, you will read that this 1909 courthouse with Ionic columns was featured in the movie 'Silence of the Lambs.'

Where are the togas?

The classical architecture makes me think Shelby is the most distinguished, important county in the nation, and you darn well better be impressed.

Tree Cart

The two guys with the Harpo Marx hats sitting on trees (?) in the cart seem to be the only ones aware of the photographer. Who is probably somewhere on the building casting the foreground shadow. Always amazed at the details in these photos.
