High School Party: 1976

January 24, 1976, Berkeley Heights, NJ. My sister and her high school boyfriend, at a party held by her friend Alison ("Al") in their Junior Year. That sweater was one her favorites, made out of poly, and with an image of two 1920s-John Held-style figures kissing. Her boyfriend's shirt is polyester, as well. Their outfits and their hairdos capture the Zeitgeist (her Farrah Fawcett flip!), and the clashing patterns of the sofa and the curtains create an almost psychedelic affect. View full size.
