Hawaiian guitar

The guitar player is playing "lap steel" style, presumably echoing the 1920s wave of popular Hawaiian music. With a plain wood guitar (not the soon-to-come resonator types) he must have been hard to hear over the din of two banjos and a Stroh violin.
